Hi there, my name is Becks!

I am a self-taught abstract artist. Abstract art is something that I’ve always been drawn towards since I was a lil’ kid. As I grew older, my focus shifted towards humanitarianism. As an active mental health and homelessness advocate, I realized I cannot continue to help others if I don’t help myself. Having struggled with chronic anxiety my whole life, I knew I needed an outlet for self expression. Learning to reconnect with my inner self and allowing myself to explore my childhood love of abstract art has served to be one of the most impactful experiences of my life.

The arbitrary brush strokes and calculated splashes of vibrant colours hold so much emotion and healing; an indescribable feeling of euphoria. Learning to trust myself, letting go, and allowing the tool in hand to flow is just simply a wonderful feeling!
